Not sure if this helps, and I hope it doesn’t offend— as its been pretty discussed already, but my co-worker is on a mix of meds, one an antipsychotic, and also antidepressant. A similar situation happened to her. Her meds cost an insane amount of money, even with insurance. When docs need to adjust the amounts of her meds, she has to be institutionalized for a week. Its heavy shit. In her situation, her docs have to send the info to the pharmacy every time. If they dont, the pharmacy wont give it out, period. Somehow, The nurse at her docs office messed up and the pharmacy didnt fill her meds/get the script. It was serious, but the first thing she did was call the docs office over and over, took off of work immediately, drove around and made a billion phone calls. I believe she was able to get enough free samples from the nurse at the docs office or the ER (samples that the big pharm companies give out to medical providers) to tide her over until the ‘script could get filled.

TL;DR – When its important enough, there’s a way. Also, my coworker is the exact opposite of ThriftThick with mental illness and awareness. It makes me livid. My coworker literally tells people, flat out that she’s batshit crazy (her words, not mine), never ever uses it as a crutch or an excuse, and totally owns it. She talks about hearing voices! She is open about it and knows her meds give her life. She has spoken at meetings and universities about her mental illness and what she goes through, hoping to bring awareness to it in a positive light. How Cassie is trying to bring awareness is just. not. right. It could seriously mess some people up.

I’m not arguing against her being medicated, but why would she think she’s better off if these meds cause her to be so numb and out of it that she’s picking 24/7, bingeing uncontrollably and compulsively shopping? If they take you from moderately healthy and able to work and socialize, to barely containing your daily rage and unable to work a couple hours a week, where’s the improvement? It sounds like she’s only happy when she’s altered enough to not have to put on a face for even 15 minutes a week. I don’t think it has anything to do with treating any problems; her only goal is to expend zero energy on anything that isn’t waddling around pantless and feeding her many addictions.

Exactly! Cassie’s not just a narcissist; there are other disorders swirling around in that bulbous melon. Her total lack of empathy is concerning. When she’s doing her double batch beg-a-thons on Sundays and reads people’s comments where they share their problems, she can barely eke out any fake ‘concern’. Speaking of which, how much do you all want to bet she rallies enough to conduct a live video in the very near future?

Edited because there was a weird notation at the bottom of the post.

Sounds like 1 med might be a controlled substance? Those can require new paper or fax scripts every month or less. I can’t imagine Cassie dealing with that amount of effort 12x a year! There’s a great channel on youtube about schizophrenia, and her stories sound like some of your friend’s stories, and the amount of work she puts in to manage is humbling. I think about her channel whenever I hear another youtuber start up with the mental health excuses for everything. Not that you have to experience psychosis to have mental health issues, but at least stop complaining about the results you didn’t get from the work you didn’t do, at least out of respect for the people doing so much work.

I always wonder why the youtubers who constantly use it as a shield never seem to know about, or ever promote, these great mental health channels or education. They never give a heads up on mental health awareness days or events, and they never raise money for organizations either – but they never forget an affiliate code!

It doesn’t help that Cassie is the kind of person to make fun of people with real illnesses and disabilities either – and, like mentioned above – can’t even mimic concern when viewers mention what they’re struggling with. Just one more reason she can’t get a 2nd date

I wonder if you’re talking about Living with Schizophrenia.

Seriously Cassie. You must realize that by saying that being off your meds made you a rude and bitchy person who puts others down, you’re sending the message that your gross personality is because of your struggles with mental illness. What does that do, if not further stigmatize mental illness? You make it difficult for others with severe mental illnesses to be taken seriously. People sense the negative attitude and see how you mistreat and belittle anyone you don’t like, and they think that’s what mental illness is! That’s why so many of us are terrified to share our diagnoses with others. We have to work twice as hard to prove that we are not mean-spirited snowflakes with a victim complex thanks to you and people like you.

If you really want to make a difference in how mentally ill people are treated, admit to your viewers that you are an entitled and manipulative Casshole with an unbelievably fragile ego and internalized misogyny. Stop using depression as an excuse for every stupid thing you do. How are we kidding though? We all know you don’t actually care about anyone but yourself.. but you’re actively hurting the cause so kindly stfu already.

I took a controlled substance for my back issues for years and I had to go into my doctors office to get a refill subscription every single month.  If that is what she is supposed to  be doing she has no one but herself to blame.  In each scenario its her fault.  It is not up to a pharmacy, doctors office, etc. to keep up with her.  She has to advocate for herself.  Its not like she is the only patient.  Damn, this woman just can’t take any blame.

She’s so exhausting and, honestly, triggering that I stopped watching even the re-hosted videos. Sometimes even the commentary around her behavior gets to be too much because everything coming out of her hoagie hole is blame deflection and gaslighting and poor me-isms.

No wonder she has only her greasy cat and her mother for company – one depends on her for survival, the other’s (clearly questionable) motherly instincts keep her bound.

    BINGO

I have chronic hypertension. I work with my doctor on mitigation tactics, and actually follow them, but she explained to me that I’ll likely always experience this condition, as I have a family history on both sides.

Because of this, I am extremely careful to not allow my medication to run out. I make notes on my physical calendar as well as in my phone so I can keep track.

I watched her old meltdown video that was linked here and she (of course) blamed her running out of meds on the pharmacy not texting her. No bitch, the responsibility does not ultimately fall to them!    It’s your medication and you are the one who is going to feel like crap if you run out.                      BUUUTTT, responsible adulting does not make for dramatic content, nor does it bring about coddling and asspats from the codependent stans, sooo…. :eyeroll:

There is no way she didn’t notice her pills were dwindling.   We have all taken a med for something and notice the sound the bottle makes when we take one out.  It is obvious as the days go on that its getting empty.  She just wants to put the blame on others.  I really believe she has never been forced to take responsibility.

Maybe another one of Mutti’s duties is filling up a pill organizer for Baby CatPiss? According to her stories, she was on a few meds and we know she’s a Dairytarian, so she’s got her supplements to take too.

Dummy won’t open anything that isn’t a surprise, like subscription boxes and toys, so she may not have heard a nearly empty bottle because Nurse Mutti’s probably in charge of all this and had to search the globe for a pill case with satisfying magnetic closures, and print out 1″x1″ cards saying “OH, HELLO THERE!”to put in each section – otherwise, it’s all too boring for CatPee.

Maybe she’s staying at the Muttsters until she’s recovered being served Ubereats on a tray? She could tell herself she’s in danger of being stalked — as a YT Star!! — if someone comes to view the house :eyeroll:

Late to Cassie’s ‘I made this video so people don’t worry’ no pills video.

Her excuse saying she made this video because apparently when she misses a video people ask and worry, so what happened to her usual social media announcements for lack of video instead of making a clickbait video (where the title has no indication for reason), it wasn’t titled like “why there is no video today” like some youtuber’s do, she didn’t title it like that because she knows most don’t give a shit and wouldn’t click on it.

Her reasons for not being on the meds is questionable itself. No clear explanation, given different stories. I have once went through worst withdrawals ever because of my own fault (left getting a new script to last minute and doctor was away on holiday), one so bad I couldn’t even get out of bed, but I didn’t blame anyone else or expect pity from people and learnt from that mistake. But if anyone dare criticizes her for not noticing, they would say “life happens, we’re busy, its not unusual to forget”… Catpiss isn’t a mother of 5 who is running 2 businesses, even then, you would take precautions not to forget.

Also, she said there is no video because she couldn’t edit, did she seriously have none in stock? shocking!

I know this is going back a ways but whyyyy the fuck did she say her insurance company had “wrongfully canceled her membership.” Who talks like this? It’s like when she said she was “checked in person” for PCOS or “this is tasting so good right now” about a sub sandwich on one of her binge videos. She talks like how AI would talk of it listened to an idiot speak for 10,000 hours.

You’re so right about her pushy response on how she was just practically forced to cough up a the-insurance-company’s-dog-ate-my-meds video. This heifer misses videos regularly and doesn’t tweet out anything explaining her missing status until people start tweeting her asking if they should contact the authorities. I think she’s posted to her community tab 2x this year. She has no schedule and no reliable upload time or days. When that’s your only job and you’ve been doing it just short of a decade, you can’t turn around and claim to be doing it all for the people :bleh: . She only tweets if she’s going for more sympathy for a double earache, the Big Ick (that wasn’t), the emergency cholecystectomy (that wasn’t), and all that foolery.

She talks like how AI would talk of it listened to an idiot speak for 10,000 hours.

 Giving a bunch of unnecessary detail, repeating phrases, interrupting yourself and getting tripped up when asked a simple question and attacking are all giveaways that someone’s a lying liar who lies, and that’s if you can’t even see them grinning ear to ear while they’re telling a supposedly tragic story. Her medical and business talk recollections sound like they’re ripped from Lifetime movies she used to watch with Mutti.

Don’t forget the “my mold in my closet is killing me” storyline that she stopped abruptly after filming the OG “where I’ve been” and a pity stream, I never want to let that one go. And “dairytarian”, you’re killing me!  :yahoo:

While we’re scrutinizing Ca$$hole of the Past SLASH Present SLASH Future, remember the pancake mukbang drowning in Aunt Jemima and passive aggression? I wish she had spilled more about what her good friend could have done or said to have made her THAT bitter and bullshitting about how they “really messed up” and did a “really really bad thing to her” and needed to “learn their lesson”. It’s so kind and so sweet and so generous of her to imply that her loved ones all need to suffer enough for her to forgive them, and if not, commence the grudge game, the  passive aggression, the withholding, the gaslighting, and the blasting on YouTube.
